From the CHEO Foundation’s press release: “The CHEO Foundation announced today that a major donation to its BIG STEPS Campaign by Doyle Homes will trigger a $1 million investment in research for childhood obesity. Doyle Homes’ donation of $500,000 will be matched by the Foundation to help CHEO research scientists and staff in their efforts to address obesity and inactivity in children and youth. This gift will help fund the Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research Group (HALO) which has been established to provide national leadership and research excellence for the prevention and treatment of obesity in children and youth.”
