Are you between the ages of 10-17?

Like free food?

Like relaxing?

Need extra volunteer hours?

Then…

There is an exciting opportunity for you (both boys and girls) to participate in a research study at the University of Ottawa in collaboration with CHEO

What do I need to do?

  • It’s easy. You will come to the University of Ottawa 2 separate times where you will help us test a new food menu while doing sedentary activities (for example, watch TV, do homework, read a book, play on your phone, etc) while eating a variety of foods
  • You will also choose and be provided with FREE FOOD for the rest of the day

Tell me how to sign up!

  • It’s easy. Grab our contact info below and get in touch by phone or email. *Please leave your name, age, gender and contact information and we will work with you to set up a time to come in and eat that is convenient for you.
  • Please feel free to contact us (Dr. Zach Ferraro and Sean Patterson @ 613-737-7600 ext 4408 or spatt060@uottawa.ca) with any questions you may have!

NOTE: Participants with food allergies will be excluded from the study as many of the food items on the menu may be associated with allergic reaction (e.g. peanuts, wheat, etc.).

This study has been reviewed and approved by the CHEO Research Ethics Board and the University of Ottawa Office of Research Ethics and Integrity. All information gathered during the course of the study will be completely confidential. Participants are free to withdraw from the study at any time.
