For three weeks in January and February 2015, children 8-12 years of age from the Boys and Girls Club of Pembroke participated in testing newly developed physical literacy screening tasks. Over the course of three separate evenings, children performed two new physical literacy screening tasks several times and provided feedback about the tasks. The testing sessions took place during the program’s regularly scheduled recreation night and HALO would like to acknowledge the Boys and Girls Club of Pembroke’s support and assistance for the Putting Physical Literacy within REACH (Recreation, Education, Allied-Health, Coaching, Healthcare). The data collected will assist HALO researchers in gaining more information about the reliability of the physical literacy task, as well as improving the administration of the tasks. Thank you so much Boys and Girls Club of Pembroke for all of your support; we could not have done the project without you!
