Over the course of 2014 and 2015, HALO has worked closely with the staff from KidActive to recruit community leaders to participate in the “Putting Physical Literacy within REACH (Recreation, Education, Allied-Health, Coaching, Healthcare). During this project, community leaders reviewed training materials and administered newly developed physical literacy screening tasks within their existing programs. Through KidActive’s tireless effort, HALO was also able to create new partnerships and collect data that will help make physical literacy screening tasks assessable to all REACH sectors.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank KidActive for their overwhelming support and contribution to “Putting Physical Literacy within REACH”. We would specifically like to thank KidActive staff members, Susan Patterson and Shawna Babcock, respectively, the Community Resource Centre of Renfrew County, the CANDU Swim Club in Deep River, and the Mackenzie Community School in Deep River. Thank you so much to all of the individuals involved, we could not have completed this research without you!
