Dr. Jean-Philippe Chaput won the Canadian Obesity Network-Students and New Professionals (CON-SNP) Faculty Supervisor Award. This award is in recognition of a faculty member who has demonstrated excellent mentorship in supporting their CON-SNP Chapter. This award also aims to recognize a faculty member who excels in nurturing trainee research development in his/her discipline and exhibits a passion for mentoring SNPs. Dr. Chaput received the award at the International Congress on Obesity held in Vancouver in May 2016. He gave back his cash prize to CON to support the travel of a graduate student at the next Canadian Obesity Summit to be held in Banff in 2017.
