As part of her China-Ontario Young Scientist Exchange award, Dr. Pat Longmuir was invited to present her research in Beijing, China. She spent two days presenting her research on physical activity for children with cardiac diagnoses at the Peking University First Hospital for Mothers and Children. She was hosted by Prof. Junbao Du, who is interested in adding physical activity to his renowned treatment programs for children with syncope, pulmonary hypertension and cardiomyopathy. Dr. Longmuir also presented the Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy at the Beijing Children’s ‎ Research Institute and to a class of graduate students in Exercise Science at Beijing Normal University.
