Dr. Qing Du, Xinhua Hospital and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, and HALO Scientist Dr. Pat Longmuir are the co-PI’s on a new grant for a collaborative research study. The project, titled “The Benefits of Physical Activity Training on Ambulatory Children with Cerebral Palsy” was funded by a  joint research initiative between uOttawa Faculty of Medicine and Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Dr. Longmuir and her co-PI’s will examine the benefits of physical activity training in comparison to traditional physical therapy for increasing children’s (4 to 6 years of age) physical literacy and physical activity. Dr. Anna McCormick is a co-investigator on the project as well.
