Led by Professor Ryan Rhodes from the University of Victoria, scientists from the ParticipACTION Research Advisory Group (including Professor Mark Tremblay from HALO) recently published a paper titled “Predicting changes across 12 months in three types of parental support behaviors and mother’s perceptions of child physical activity” in the  Annals of Behavioral Medicine. The research shows that mothers’ support behaviors are related to perceived child physical activity, but support is dependent on perception of control, child age, and family income.”
