Biography

Jacqueline completed her Honours Bachelor of Science with specialization in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa in 2017. Throughout her studies, Jacqueline worked as a personal trainer and a fitness instructor in various facilities throughout Ottawa. During this time, she became interested in how physical activity impacts not only the physical health, but also mental health of individuals. Now she is a M.Sc. candidate at the University of Ottawa under the supervision of Dr. Patricia Longmuir as part of the Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research Group. She hopes that her research will be able to positively impact the mental health of youth in Canada through physical activity interventions. On her spare time, Jacqueline enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and being outdoors with her dogs.
