Julie Campbell
Research Assistant
Julie is a PhD candidate in the Faculty of Health at Dalhousie University, studying outdoor and physically active learning with school-aged children. Before starting her PhD at Dalhousie, she completed a BSc (Hons) in Kinesiology with a minor in Nutrition at the University of Prince Edward Island and an MSc in Kinesiology (Physical Activity Epidemiology) at Queen’s University. She joined the HALO Team as a Casual Research Assistant for the SPROUT Project in 2025. Her research interests include promoting healthy lifelong habits for children through supportive environments, whether for nutrition or movement behaviours. In her spare time, she loves to spend time with friends and family outdoors, playing sports and board games, and taking in live music.
