Dr. Pat Longmuir and Claire Francis completed three presentations about the Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy and the relationship between physical literacy and health at the International Physical Literacy Conference held in Banff, Alberta (April 20-23, 2013).

Over 250 delegates from 12 countries attended to share their expertise in relation to the development of physical literacy across the life span.

The approach used in the Canadian Assessment of Physical Literacy, whereby physical literacy includes physical competence (fitness and motor skill), motivation and confidence, and knowledge and understanding, received enthusiastic support.
