HALO Clinical Associate Dr. Stasia Hadjiyannakis delivered (in a virtual format) a presentation entitled “Defining Severity in Pediatric Obesity: The Role of a Clinical Staging System (EOSS-P)” at CHEO Pediatric Grand Rounds on May 27th 2020. The objectives of the presentation were to:
- Review the need and rationale for a clinical staging system for pediatric obesity to assess health risk and prognosis
- Summarize studies conducted to date to validate the use of such a tool
- Demonstrate the application of this tool clinically, in medical education and research
