Emily Stone and Maia Collins attended the Canadian Center of Outdoor Play (CCOP) open house on June 26, 2025. The CCOP resides at Forest Explorers Outdoor Learning Hub at Wesley Clover Parks in Ottawa.
Emily and Maia shared the progress of the SPROUT (Sending Preschoolers OUTside) Study. The SPROUT Study has completed two rounds of testing, which includes various assessments on gross and fine motor tasks for children aged 10 months to five years old. The 3-year project seeks to explore and analyze the impact of outdoor play on young children’s health and wellbeing.
