Charles Boyer (Research Assistant), Michael Borghese (MSc student) and Stacey Alpous recently did some community outreach in Navan where they set up an information booth at the Heritage Public School on Meet-the-Teacher Night. Material was available at the booth detailing some of the work HALO does. Feedback was also received from parents about topics they would like to learn about in future workshops.

By all accounts the event was a great success, and our families were very happy to have CHEO/HALO present to provide important and interesting information. Charles, Stacey and Mike were great with the kids and parents alike – professional, friendly and enthusiastic – and I have received a ton of positive feedback. It is really nice that HALO was able to be supportive of an event like this, especially as we are small, relatively rural school.
