HALO Researchers Receive Research Funding from CIHR

The following HALO researchers were recently awarded funding for their grant applications to the Canadian Institutes of Health Research:

• Dr. Kristi Adamo: Her application titled, “Activity Begins in Childhood (ABC) – A Randomized Controlled Trial to Inspire Healthy Active Behaviour in Preschoolers,” was approved for full funding (approximately $400,000).
• Dr. Jean-Philippe Chaput: His application titled, “Effects of Active Video Games on Energy Balance: A Randomized Crossover Study in Adolescents,” was approved for bridge funding (approximately $100,000).
