On April 29th, Katie gave a presentation through the Clinical Research Unit at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario Research Institute on factor analysis. The title of her talk was “An introduction to factor analysis: Advantages of the technique and when and how to apply it” and the objectives of the talk were:

  1. Understand and differentiate Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) and Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA).
  2. Learn how to run an EFA and CFA with an applied example.
  3. Learn how to interpret the output from EFA and CFA.
  4. Learn how to extend it to structural equation modeling.
