Biography

Dr. Louise de Lannoy completed her PhD in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen’s University in 2019, where she examined the importance and feasibility of cardiorespiratory fitness as a clinical risk factor. Her interests in population health and knowledge translation led her to join the HALO team in 2020. Louise manages Outdoor Play Canada, a network of advocates, practitioners, researchers, and organizations working together to promote, protect, and preserve access to play in nature and the outdoors for all people living in Canada. Outside of her work at HALO, Louise enjoys exploring Ottawa by running through it, embracing winter by getting out to ski whenever possible, and winding down at the end of the day on the couch with a glass of wine, Jeff, and her puppy.
