BIOGRAPHY
Evan completed his HBSc at the University of Toronto with a double major in Human Biology and Evolutionary Anthropology. Through his work as a volunteer and research student at the SickKids Team Obesity Management Program, Evan developed a passion and appreciation for the importance of the early prevention of childhood obesity. Evan joined HALO as a summer student in 2018, where he contributed to multiple international studies on the physical activity of children and youth. Evan is currently completing his MSc at Carleton University under the supervision of Dr. Mark Tremblay, where his research is focused on a pilot study evaluating the prevalence of young Canadian children who are meeting the WHO’s 24 hour movement guidelines for the early years. On his own time, Evan can be found playing and coaching sports, reading, trying new foods, and enjoying the outdoors.
