BIOGRAPHY
Jade completed her Bachelor’s in Nursing at Mount Royal University in Calgary, AB, in 2018. Shortly after graduating, she began working at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Foothills Medical Centre as an RN and as a RA with her alma mater. While working, she balanced several positions in the community as an ambassador for a local women’s center, a care support/companion at a pediatric hospice and respite center, and a dance assistant for a dance company for kids with disabilities. Her various scopes and settings enriched her interests in global maternal and child health, family-centred care, community health, & capacity building. Outside of work and school she enjoys fitness, cooking, traveling, and hiking in tropical climates! Jade joined the HALO research team and began the MSc in Health: Science, Technology and Policy (HSTP) program at Carleton University in 2021.
