Louise de Lannoy completed her PhD in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies at Queen’s University in 2019, where she examined the importance and feasibility of cardiorespiratory fitness as a clinical risk factor. Her interests in population health and knowledge translation led her to join the HALO team as a Research Coordinator in 2020. Working under the supervision of Dr. Mark Tremblay, she is getting rapidly exposed to, and working on, an array of different projects and initiatives including: the 2020 ParticipACTION Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth, Outdoor Play Canada, the SUNRISE initiative, and the Active Travel and Independent Mobility Longitudinal Study. Outside of her work at HALO, Louise enjoys exploring Ottawa by running through it, embracing winter by getting out to ski whenever possible, and winding down at the end of the day on the couch with a glass of wine, Jeff, and her puppy.
