The CTV interview related to a new study released this week on the benefits of having a good night’s sleep for weight loss. This is a very interesting and well-conducted study published in a high-impact journal (Annals of Internal Medicine). It is very novel to find that sleep restriction attenuates the effects of caloric restriction. Also, the indication that sleep plays an important role in the preservation of muscle mass during periods of reduced caloric intake is also quite novel.
