Healthy and active resolutions can be accomplished, as long as we take the time to create goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely – S.M.A.R.T. goals.

Weight loss is an all too common goal for resolution makers. The trouble in creating a general goal, such as “I want to lose weight”, is that weight is not the variable that people can directly control. What we can control is our health behaviours – what we eat, how and when we exercise, and how we cope with stressful situations. So how do you create goals that you are able to accomplish?
