The Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research Group (HALO) at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario ResearchInstitute is the only full-time group in Canada dedicated solely to the issue of healthy active living and obesity research in children and youth. HALO is committed to advancing research and understanding for the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity and inactivity. As part of this responsibility, HALO has a mandate to train students, professors, clinicians and researchers to assist in the development of future leaders and thinkers in this area of research. HALO is looking for a full-time Project Manager for 15 months (with possibility of extension) to work for the Canadian site of the International Study of Childhood Obesity, Lifestyle and the Environment (ISCOLE). The ISCOLE study will perform physical activity and obesity measures on 500 grade 5 children in English and French schools in the Ottawa area over a one-year period. This is part of a larger study being completed in 12 countries around the world.
