On Wednesday, November 27th, Dr. Kristi Adamo and PhD candidate Allana Leblanc highlighted several strategies to help prevent and manage obesity to a group of community health workers and front line service providers. Dr. Ferraro facilitated and also made a presentation at this workshop that was part of a Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario funded Spark Grant symposium.

The purpose, to bring academics, care providers and experts in the field together for an interactive workshop on standardizing key messages directed towards women and families in the preconception and prenatal period and those parenting children 0-3. Our goal, to harmonize messaging delivered patients in the Ottawa region in an attempt to reduce the problems associated with child overweight and limit inconsistencies in messaging to increase efficient uptake.
