Dr. Richard Larouche presented his research in a joint conference of the Transportation Research Board and the American College of Sports Medicine at the National Academies of Science in Washington, DC. The conference “Moving Active Transportation to Higher Ground: Opportunities for Accelerating the Assessment of Health Impacts” brought together researchers from the fields of urban planning, transport planning and public health. His abstract was entitled Prevalence and correlates of active transportation among adults: the 2007-2011 Canadian Health Measures Surveys. Dr. Guy Faulkner (University of Toronto) and HALO director, Dr. Mark Tremblay, were co-authors of this work.
