HALO Director, Professor Mark Tremblay was invited to the Chinese University of Hong Kong to participate in a series of events. On January 24th, 2019 he participated in the press conference for the release of the 2018 Active Healthy Kids Hong Kong Report Card on Physical Activity for Children and Youth. At the press conference, Professor Tremblay, as the President of the Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance, made a presentation titled “Active Healthy Kids Global Alliance: Global Matrix 3.0 findings”. The release received widespread media attention throughout Hong Kong and Southern China.

While at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Professor Tremblay also delivered a graduate seminar to the Department of Sports Science and Physical Education titled “Healthy Active Living and Obesity Research Group”. He was also named Distinguished Lecturer and delivered a presentation titled “Physical literacy and the movement to get kids moving” as an invited lecture in the Distinguished Lecture Series, Faculty of Education, Chinese University of Hong Kong (Sha Tin, Hong Kong).

Also on the trip, a research collaboration between the HALO Group and the Chinese University of Hong Kong was initiated.
