HALO Scientist Dr. Pat Longmuir and Dr. Hana Alazem have received a new research grant from the PSI Foundation. Their grant, “Impacting Children’s Physical and Mental Health through Kinesiology Support in Clinical Care”, is funded for two years ($199,500). The funding will evaluate a 12-week kinesiologist-led intervention to enhance physical activity motivation among children seen at CHEO in the cardiology, concussion, chronic pain and rehabilitation clinics. This is their first trial designed to evaluate the impact of kinesiology services in clinical practice.
