HALO Scientist Dr. Jean-Philippe Chaput spent the first week of July in France for research-related activities. He was an external examiner for a PhD defence in Besançon (Université de Bourgogne Franche-Comté) and is shown with the jury in the photo. He also spent some time with Dr. David Thivel (former HALO postdoctoral fellow back in 2012) at Université de Clermont Auvergne.
