Kendra Brett, a PhD student with HALO, successfully defended her doctoral dissertation yesterday. Kendra’s dissertation looked at the impact of maternal obesity and physical activity on the expression of placental fatty acid transporters.
Kendra performed some incredibly novel placenta biology studies and did an excellent job in presenting her work and defending her results. She performed wonderfully and made her supervisor, Dr. Kristi Adamo, very proud!
